Frequently Asked Questions
How much room is needed for the rental?
You will need to provide a level area of about 4 feet by 4 feet wider than the dimensions of the inflatable you are renting. For the higher inflatables please ensure there is enough height clearance (ie no overhanging trees). Please ensure that the area is free of any rocks, sticks, or doggy doo prior to our arrival.
What surfaces can the inflatable be set up on?
All our inflatables can be set up on any level surface such as grass, concrete, asphalt, and indoors. Please specify which surface you intend for the house to be set up on so we can provide the necessary anchors.
Do you setup in parks or public areas?
Yes, however, please call or email us for more information. Most parks require a permit and operator to supervise the inflatable. If the desired area does not have electric service we will need to provide a generator at extra cost.
Do you deliver and set up the inflatables?
Absolutely! The setup and takedown are included in the daily rental price. We deliver and set up all inflatables, ensure they are clean before your party starts, and in good working condition, and undertake safety checks. We also provide operator training and usage instructions. We cover the Wilmington and Leland areas. Outside of these areas may incur a small delivery charge.
What time do you deliver and pick up the inflatables?
We will ask you at the time of booking what your preferred drop-off and pick-up times are and will schedule our delivery to ensure we meet your expectations
How long does it take to set up an inflatable?
On average it takes 30 minutes to set up the inflatable, review the safety guidelines and sign the necessary paperwork.
What are the power requirements?
All units must be within 100 feet of an electrical GFI outlet. We provide heavy duty extension cords with all rentals.
What are my responsibilities as the renter?
A responsible adult must be assigned to supervise the children whilst the inflatable is in use. The adult must know all the safety rules that have been provided and enforce them. The renter is responsible for the safety of the children and the care of the equipment.
Are Inflatables safe?
Absolutely they are safe! We have clearly defined rules outlined in the operating procedures that you will receive when the inflatable is delivered. All our inflatables are also State inspected annually to ensure adherence to NC state laws. We are also fully insured.
How long do I keep the inflatable for?
All rentals are done on a daily basis. We will deliver the inflatable in the morning before any time you have specified when booking. We will pick the unit up early in the evening after your event. We also offer overnight rentals for an additional charge and provide discounts for multiple-day rentals.
Do any of your inflatables contain any lead in the vinyl?
All of our inflatables are made from 100% lead free vinyl and are certified by the manufacturer.
What type of parties and events do you provide inflatables for?
Sterling Inflatables are a perfect addition to any party, event or celebration. We have a great selection of bouncy castles, water slides and combo units that are great for any occasion.
How many children can play on an inflatable at any one time?
The unit occupancy will vary depending on the size and capacity of the inflatable. The rental agreement and safety procedures will be provided to you when the inflatable is setup and will state the maximum number of people allowed at any one time.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash and money orders.
Do you collect Sales Tax?
Unfortunately, we have to collect sales tax on each rental.
What happens if I lose power?
All inflatables designed for commercial or rental use require a fan or blower that runs continuously. Should the blower stop working, immediately remove the children from playing in or on the inflatable. Then you will need to check to see if a circuit breaker has tripped. If it has, reset the breaker and you should be good to continue using the inflatable. Should the breaker trip a second time, please try a different outlet. If that does not resolve it please call us at 910-226-2207 and we will dispatch a Technician immediately to replace the blower.
Do you provide operators?
Our rental pricing is based on the hirer being the operator for the duration of the rental. If you require us to provide an operator please contact us via email or phone.
